The value of a college degree

Many students believe that if they receive a college degree they will “get a good job”.

They are anxious to “get the degree” rather than getting the education.

This mindset is analogous:

getting a degree is like getting  a plane ticket,

rather than qualifying them for a passport

  1. So true. A college degree is only a piece of paper stating that you attended a junior college or/and university. However, the application of what one has captured, learned, applied, served, mentored, and gifted is true acknowledgment of that “higher” learning. – Dan Aguirre
